Sumter, SC - Last Thursday, Thompson Construction Group, Inc. marked a significant milestone with its sixth annual Safety Celebration, held at La Piazza in downtown Sumter. The event brought together 300 employees to honor the outstanding safety performance of nearly 80 individuals over the past year.

The Safety Celebration awards recognize safety professionals and leaders whose teams have collectively worked more than 10,000 hours with a recordable incident rate of 0.75 or lower. Individuals from each division of the company were honored, spanning maintenance services, capital projects, power services, hydro consulting and maintenance services, government services, industrial building group, site work, and Thompson Turner Construction.
